Completing Provider Setup

Provider setup ensures VetVantageMD can verify your credentials, match you with appropriate veterans, and enable you to begin conducting evaluations.

Entering provider credentials

Start by entering your credential information so VetVantageMD can confirm your identity as a licensed provider and enable access to the provider workflow.

  1. Enter your NPI number.
  2. Select the state where your license was issued.
  3. Enter your license number.
  4. Add the license issue date manually or by using the calendar.
  5. If you hold multiple active licenses, add each one so your profile reflects all states you can practice in.

Credential verification

After submission, your credentials are reviewed by the VetVantageMD support team. VetVantageMD uses the official NPI Registry to verify the information you provided.

  • If information does not match the registry, you may be asked to correct your entry.
  • Once verified, your account can be matched to appropriate veterans and visits.

Address information

Enter your personal address and your clinic address. These are used for provider profile completeness and may support scheduling, in-person options, and internal validation workflows.

If both addresses are the same, copy the information to save time.

Setting availability

Configure your recurring weekly availability. These hours are used to match you with patients, support appointment scheduling, and reduce conflicts on your calendar.

  • Add multiple time blocks per day (for example, morning and evening availability).
  • Copy availability across weekdays to speed up setup.
  • Remove unavailable days (for example, weekends or specific weekdays).

Availability can be adjusted later for specific dates, time-off, or schedule changes.

Selecting DBQ’s

Select the Disability Benefits Questionnaires, or DBQ’s, that you are qualified to complete. Your selections determine which cases you can be assigned and what appointment types you will receive.

  • Select only the DBQ categories that fall within your training and scope of practice.
  • Deselect any categories you do not evaluate to prevent incorrect case matching.

Keeping this list current ensures accurate assignments and reduces reassignment delays.

Choosing your evaluation method

Choose how you want to conduct evaluations. This controls which visit types you can accept.

  • Telehealth only
  • In-person only
  • Both telehealth and in-person

This setting can be updated later from your provider settings.

Completing your profile

Finish by completing your provider profile details so your evaluations can be signed and finalized correctly.

  • Upload a profile photo.
  • Create your digital signature using the built-in signature pad.

Your signature is automatically applied to DBQ’s and clinical documentation, so ensure it matches how you intend to sign your evaluations.

Next steps

Once your provider setup is complete and credentials are verified, you’re ready to begin accepting appointment requests from your Doctor Dashboard.
